About Me

Hi. Welcome to my personal haven. My name is Risa. A suburb stay-at-home mom and a part-time tennis instructor based in New Jersey. I was born and raised in the Philippines and migrated to New York over a decade ago. I am a proud mother of two lovely girls and married to a wonderful man for 13 years. Becoming a mother has changed my life. It has truly been the best thing that ever happened to me. Staying home with my girls is what we felt is the best option for our family. It is not an easy choice but when I became a mother, priorities have changed. You figure what weighs the most and you set ultimate goals. And inevitably, live life to the fullest. fiaree children image

Growing up as an athlete gave me the discipline and determination to fulfill every dream I have. It has always been my pipe dream to be an artist/designer. I live and breathe sports. Sketching and painting keep my sanity. DIY projects and crafting channel my imagination. Cooking feeds my soul. fashion and photography uplifts my style.

My enthusiasm in life gave me the thought that blogging would be a great avenue to unleash my creativity– an outlet to chronicle what I am passionate about. That is through arts, DIY, food and lifestyle. I would like to impart my creativeness and resourcefulness through inspiring you with the beauty of the world of art.

I have always wanted to practice entrepreneurship, have my business, be my boss and have that luxury of time. Time indeed is gold. I want to utilize my time to the full extent and fulfill my American dream. A dream does not become a reality through magic. It takes sweat, determination and hard work.
